Steyn's First Year

11 MONTHS
- September 3: On oom Philip's birthday, Steyn crosses our kitchen. It's official, he can walk!!

10 MONTHS
- August 5: On oom Gosling's birthday, Steyn 'walks' 2 steps in a row - no hands!

9 MONTHS
- July 14: Steyn crawls! He takes first 'crawling steps' on the table in Curacao. The same day he stands all by himself for about 20 seconds and looks very proud.

8 MONTHS
- June 16: Finally rolls from his back onto his belly!
- June 2: Pulls himself up to standing in the play pen.

7 MONTHS
- May 22: Puts his index fingers in every hole he can find.
- May 18: Steyn is standing in the wooden play pen (box).

6 MONTHS
- April 17: His first two bottom teethes are showing.
- April 11: Steyn starts to eat solids for real: a mashed banana!
- April 5: Eats his first bite of rice cereal.

5 MONTHS
- March 26: Steyn can sit by himself!
- March 8: Skips late night feeding at 11:00pm and sleeps from 8pm till 7:30am! Hooray!!
- March 5: Holds bottle himself while laying down in his crib.

4 MONTHS
- February 21: Grasps his feet and puts them in his mouth.
- February 7: Steyn finally sleeps  'through the night', from around 23:00 till early next morning.

2.5 MONTHS
- December 24: Grasps things with both hands and brings it to his mouth. Pulls himself up to sit.

1 MONTH
- November 26: Takes his first bottle. No problem at all.
- November 16: Steyn's first real smile!
- October 13: Steyn comes home from the hospital
- October 11: Steyn was born at 6:37pm at UCSF in San Francisco, CA
